National Software Reference Library (NSRL) is a list of files that are known parts of software applications or otherwise unusable, unintelligible, or useless for ediscovery, such as Windows executables. The list, used in de-NISTing, is maintained by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), part of the United States Department of Commerce.
